A Magistrate Court sitting in Ikeja has sentenced a middle age man, George Augustine Orhaware to two years imprisonment for guilty of stealing car worth N2.3million.
The convict was sentenced after pleaded guilty to the two count charge of conspiracy and stealing brought against him by the Police.
Orhaware, a 39-year old was said to have conspired with others at large on December 7, 2015, at No 4, Rev Adedorah Close, Ikeja did steal one Toyota Sienna car with registration number KJA 407 DC valued at N2,300,000.00 property of one Ms Rosemary Aigoro.
The police prosecutor, Mr Emuerhi Benson informed the court that the offence committed is punishable under the Criminal Law of Lagos State 2011.
However, after his plea of guilty, the presiding magistrate, Mrs O.A Olayinka sentenced defendant to one year imprisonment on each of the count.
