Facebook Tragedy: Cynthia trials suffers set back

Justice Olabisi Akinlade of a Lagos High Court sitting at Igbosere has once again adjourned the on going trial of Cynthia Osokogwu for adoption of final written addresses. The new date fixed by the court was as a result of late filling of the final written addresses by the third and fourth defendants counsel Chris Obiaka.
However the judge ordered the third and fourth defendants counsel should file a joint written address whiles the prosecution should file a comprehensive written addresses replying to all.
Consequently, Justice Akinlade adjourned the matter to November 16, for the adoption of their written addresses.
‎It will be recalled that  four men Okwumo Nwabufo 34, Olisaeloka Ezike 24, Orji Osita 33 and Ezike Nonso 25, are standing trial over alleged conspiracy and murder of Cynthia Osokogwu, 25, who was a postgraduate student of Nassarawa state University.
The late Cynthia Osokogu, was murdered on July 22, 2012, in Lagos by men she met and became friends with on a social media site, Facebook, at Cosmila Hotel in Festac area of Lagos.
