Indicted Synagogue Engineers gets bail

The two indicted engineers who constructed collapsed seven stories guest house of the Synagogue Church Of All Nations, SCOAN, have been granted bail.
Ruling on the bail applications, the presiding judge, Justice Lateef Lawal-Akapo said Oladele Ogundeji and Akinbela Fatiregun respectively are granted bail in the sum of ten Million Naira with two sureties having considered the arguments in the light of cited authorities by their counsels.
According to the judge, One of the sureties must be a civil servant who is not less than grade 14 level while the second surety must be a property owner in Lagos State.
Also the sureties must provide evidence of three years tax payments, in addition to the conditions, utility bill to verify the addresses of the sureties and which will be verified by the police.
The engineers were on April 26 ordered to be remanded in Kirikiri Prisons by the judge following their “not guilty” plea to a 111-count charge bordering on gross negligence and criminal manslaughter.
