Men of Denton Police Division, has arraigned a spare parts dealer, Chukwunonso Ezechukwu, 39, before a Lagos Chief Magistrate's Court, sitting at Ebute-Metta, for alleged stabbing the Division's DPO, Mr. Saheed Quadry, a Superintendent Police Office, with cow horn.
The accused, was alleged to have committee the offence on December 14, at the police station
He was arraigned before magistrate Ope Agbe led-court on a two count charge of conduct likely to cause breach of peace and assault.
The offences according to the prosecutor, Woman Corporal Owumi Iyobosa, are contrary to and punishable under sections 56(d) and 174 of the criminal laws of Lagos state of Nigeria, 2011.
The accused pleaded not guilty to the charges.
In pleading for the bail of the accused, his lawyer, E. O. Ofoegbu, urged the court to admit his client bail in the most liberal term.
Ofoegbu informed the court that this client was arrested at the police station for calling him on the arrest of some other motor cycle spare parts dealers at Oyingbo market, who were arrested by some policemen whom he said were on illegal.
He claimed that the police only took advantage of the Administration of Criminal Justice of Lagos state to charged his client to court on offences that were untrue.
He therefore urged the court to admit bail to his client on a very liberal term.
Upon the submission of the accused person's lawyer, the presiding magistrate, Ope Agbe, admitted bail to the accused person in the sum of N200 with two sureties.
The matter has been adjourned till January 25, 2016, for mention.

The Police Officer called Saheed Quadry is a lier and full of many atrocities. He is fond of using his position to cheat innocent citizens. some weeks ago he detained an innocent woman in Denton police Station and asked for the bribe of 80,000 naira for the offence that did not exit. The story was carried by most Nigerian paper like vanguardngr.com, Thesheet.ng etc. He is capable of faking things to collect bribe. Bad eggs should be kicked out of Police Force.
